California Super Bloom
The California super bloom is a natural phenomenon that happens every few years when just the right amount of rain and sunshine collide. Unhatched, dormat seedlings that are scattered throughout the California deserts and national parks such as Death Valley, Carrizo Plain National Monument, Lake Elsinore, Anza Borrego Desert State Park, and Catalina Island all suddenly erupt into a roar of colorful wild flowers that can even be seen from space. In light of every horrible thing that’s happened and currently happening in the world, I think that the one thing I’ve learned through writing, is to never be afraid in the face of darkness. That little bit of beauty you see? It’s worth seeing and it’s worth living for.
